Audio Help Audio Files All audio files are stored in three formats (listed below). Most browsers are able to play .wav and .au files, but (depending on your Internet connection speed) they may take a considerable time to download. If you are using a modem or experiencing delays in receiving the .wav or .au files, we recommend using the RealAudio player and the .ra files. RealAudio Player Download Page File Formats contained in the Textbook: .wav (IBM-PC native wave files) - largest files/highest quality .au (Sun .au format) - smaller files/reduced quality .ra (Real Audio format) - streamed audio data (Best for Modems).
