NO WAY?!! Cell bodies in the hypoglossal nucleus are lower motor neurons and lesion of the nucleus would cause atrophy of the intrinsic muscles of the tongue on the ipsilateral side.  Upon protrusion of the tongue the intrinsic muscles on the intact side would drive the tongue across the midline toward the side of the lesion.
