AS IF!! In this case the LEFT vestibular nuclei are "driving" the RIGHT PPRF and, in turn, the RIGHT abducens to slowly move the eyes to the RIGHT after which they would snap back to the LEFT.  REMEMBER: the  nystagmus is named for the fast component of the eye movement.  In this case there is a LEFT nystagmus.
